A sprint finish for the line

It was the big day for me. I was running the cross country.But before that we had to watch the lower ages first.So we had to wacth the 5 year olds all the way up to my year, 10 year olds.So it was finally my turn to race.They BANGED the blocks and the race was started.I started of with a short jog i was coming second then tevita put the extra pace and we were both coming second and feki was coming first.Me and tevita were still coming second but this time we had done 3 quarters and we only had a quarter left.So it was the moment i had been waiting for it was a tie it was a sprint finish for the line both sprinting but tevita won and came second.I still came third.So I'm still going to the inter zones hurray!

Stuart Duval comes to Pt England

During the middle block on Tuesday the  11TH of august.An amazing man named Stuart duval came to our school. He amazed us all when he could draw a man out of the numbers  1,2,3,4 and so on up to 1 million.Also he could he could draw a man out of the letters ABC to Z.He was also a story teller he did a unique piece of art with the colors blue,green,red,black,brown and yellow.And from that Piece of art  he created a story. The characters where Little red tuala a prince with green tights and a wicked witch of the west named witch t.So t lived in a black castle. So little red tuala was skipping when she saw the black castle.People warned her not to go but she wouldn't listen and because of that she was stuck in that castle for 7 years and in that 7 years her hear grew as tall as a sky tower.So one day a hansom prince came in green tights and saw little red tuala so he screamed "i will save you" my future Queen.So little red tuala puled her long hair out started climbing down. and little red tuala  went on the princes unicorn and they rode away and lived happily ever after. 

Our geat video conference with Hamish Campell

On Wednesday the 5TH of august we talked to a geologist named Hamish Campbell.The first thing we did was talk about were the earth quake hit.On July the 16Th at 9.15 pm an earthquake hit the south island in fiordland.It was 7.6 on the Richter scale that's the biggest earthquake in 80 years “WOW THAT'S HUGE”.

Did you know that 80 years ago an earth quake hit china in Tangshan it only lasted for 15 seconds but killed 242,000 people and 170,000 of them were injured. Earth quakes could go up to 20,000 km per hour that's probably the speed of light.

In new Zealand there are two types of plates the pacific plates and the Australia plates.When the plates crash into earth other that causes an earth quake. so when these plates crashed it went 30 degrees down.

East Tamaki v Spartans

On Saturday we played a rugby game against East Tamaki.

11.30 am was kick - off. Sam got the first run. He got HIT! Then he got down, set it up for Cu bin and cu bin got the first try and Feki converted.So it was the kick of again this time cub in ran it up when he was just about to get tackled and off loaded to me i ran my guts out and manged to score around the post with a superman so the score was 14 0. the third try came off an error and tamati sprinted up the Field and scored under the post.East tamaki scored three tries and all were missed so john step ed one fended another and a huge bump off the another.So final score 51 points to 15.Yaaaaaaa pizza on Thursday.
